FAQs
Is it like a regular gym, where I can come and train on my own without a PT/coach with me?
Not yet. Right now, we're based in a private, shared personal training studio space. This means that you can only be in the PT studio when you're training in a one-to-one session with me. So after The Learn To Lift Program, when you're following our week-to-week programs, you do so at your own home/local gym.
Long term, the goal is to move out of the PT studio and into our own gym where all your training, both with me and on your own, can be done under one roof. But, just like strength training, this happens one small step forward at a time.
What if I have no experience of training at all?
Perfect! Our Learn To Lift Program is designed, primarily, for people who are new to lifting.
What if I have already been lifting with barbells a long time?
Also perfect! Regardless of whether you have never touched a barbell before, or if you can squat triple your body weight, the principles of getting stronger and the techniques we use are exactly the same. The only difference is the weight on the barbell, and the amount of time we take before increasing the weight.
Is there any focus on weight loss, size gain, looking better etc.?
No. With us, there is no focus whatsoever on what you look like. We don't care what your body looks like, we care about what it can do. Strength, like all aspects of physical performance, presents itself in many different shapes and sizes. Changes in how your body 'looks' will happen anyway as a nice side-effect of getting stronger.
Is there any focus on nutrition/diet?
My approach here is 'everything in moderation, including moderation'. When it comes to what we eat, most of us know what's good for us, and not so good for us. So a healthy, relaxed balance between the two usually works fine. And what tends to happen as we start getting stronger, is a natural shift towards eating better, because we know that will help us get even stronger.
Prata du Svenska?
Just nu, är min svenska på 5 års nivå. Min äldsta son är 5 år, så för varje år han blir äldre blir min svenska lite bättre.
What do I need to bring for the free trial session/first session?
Just normal gym/training clothes and shoes. As time goes on, and you get a bit more experienced with lifting, we can look at the little extras such as a lifting belt, lifting shoes etc. But to start with, these things are not essential.
After The Learn To Lift Program, can I do all my training with you still, instead of the monthly set-up?
Yes. After the inital 12 PT sessions on the Learn To Lift Program, some members prefer to have all their training as a PT session. In this case, we simply repeat the structure/set-up of the Learn To Lift Program (12 PT sessions for 6.360kr).
